I am glad there is only a 5 month window to garden in Deep River, for if it were any longer, I would get nothing done at all.

Bearfoot really is the resurrection of a lifestyle that existed in the years gone past, (the good ole days) with all the modern amenities and conveniences, that don't necessarily depend on the success of the farmer - and for that we have been fortunate. But - every great country place MUST have a garden, and I love to garden. So welcome to our gardens! We now donate the food directly to the Deep River Food Bank throughout the harvest seasons as well as a bit of farm-gate produce for the local folks.
